monthly recap (september 2024)
i didn't do anything except work and catch up on work and think about pro wrestling all day long. lately i'm worried about losing my job. also finally finished my genbaro anthology comic for real this time. the digital copy has been delivered to buyers by this point, so i hope everyone enjoys how cringe my writing is.
art log
comic i drew after my boss joked that a SEM pcard was mine (i work in search engine optimization).
i don't know why people follow my DGS account. i also posted a comic for the TGAAI fanbook that i completed last december. just in time for AAI2 english localization.
media log
- the idolmaster: shiny colors - hazuki's shinography: sooooo good. it's sad but happy at the same time. hazuki has such an interesting place in shiny colors's story, i love how the manga incorporates the idols, and the art is gorgeous.
- 1000xresist: nice little indie game with interesting concept. it was interesting to see an asian daughter generational trauma story where the daughter was presented as the bad guy— and actually unsympathetic unlike eeaao. like seriously iris is such a terrible person it makes me feel like the devs must've been godawful as teenagers because this definitely feels like the kinda story you write to repent your own sins. anyway, that's not a bad thing. it's what the story is about, after all.
- persona 2 eternal punishment - club zodiac: i spent a while stuck on the boss battle against noriko. the winning strategy is to get two characters to continuously perform any dual attack that takes out the mafia while the other two defend. once the mafia are out, you can use a persona with a fire-type move to defeat noriko.
- AI: nirvana intiative - mizuki chapter 3: the timeline branching feels a lot more uninteresting this time. granted i was lucky that i chose iris route first in AITSF, but finding out that ryuki route is practically forced in AINI is kinda boring. i don't really like the cult storyline as much as the first game either.
- the boys S3-S4E6: the boys is such an interesting depiction of a canon found family dynamic. tintin and haddock but fucked up! i really like mother's milk and frenchie and kimiko are two of the few fictional characters i'd earnestly consider to be QPPs. season 4 is a bit too far on the nose, but i'm excited to start watching weekly for seaaon 5.
