monthly recap (february 2025)

it's like i was unreal for 21 years, started existing at 22, and started living at 23. i'm not used to being alive so it's scary.

new years cards

most of my friends have received their cards now, so here are all of the characters i drew! i was procrastinating editing this for so long that i only got around to posting the recap now.

MBTI bullshit

got stupidly invested in MBTI for a week. usually i just get INFP so i was surprised that i got ENTP in sakinorva's test. i thought there might be an extroversion bias so i DMed a bunch of my introverted friends to do the test (this may actually be the most ENTP behavior).

sakinorva test seems to be split into grant function and myers function which are two diff calculations based on different peoples' personality theories (the myers function is essentially MBTI but they can't call it that for copyright reasons). i ordered it like so: 16personalities - sakinorva grant function / sakinorva myers function

basically i think there's something wrong with me.

i also thought that 16personalities has a very strong 'feeling' bias, but people who got feeling in that test tended to get feeling here (or the same overall MBTI) in general so i am not sure what i'm doing to get the complete opposite of that test lmao. i made my parents do 16personalities as well and they got INTJ (dad) and ISTJ (mom). what growing up in communist china does to a mf...

people who are deeper into MBTI make distinction between being Extroverted in itself (which i am not really) and having Extroverted ways of thinking (which i guess i do?) but in that case the term is just misleading. i think i'm just someone who despises misinformation and finds other people so incredibly interesting even though my memory is too bad to remember anything about them lol.

laneway 2025

charli xcx came to NZ for the laneway festival! the tickets were $230 NZD and her set was 1 hour long so i decided to hang out at a nearby spot with good visibility. that spot was blocked off by security so i went to the nearby park instead. the sound across the lake was really clear.

there were surprisingly few people loitering around aside from me and one other guy sitting at the same picnic bench. the guy was a 40+ y/o househusband who didn't know of charli but stopped to listen to the festival while walking his dog. i spent most of the time drawing, but we struck up a bit of a convo. it was fun to interact with someone else during a concert for once.

big gay out

i forget to go to the pride festival literally every year, so 2025 was my first time. i bought a $1 russ teddy bear from a thrift store as an accessory. his name is mr. fuzzby.

grabbed a bi paw badge from biqqin and made a teddy bear pin at the badge making session. i've been openly attracted to men online for a long time but it feels kinda crazy expressing that irl too (actually i know everyone assumes i'm gay anyway).

art log

just did an art trade and some commissions.

unfinished phone doodle from the anti-destiny church gathering.

my oldass yotsuba/azumanga daioh fanart was featured as the thumbnail of an anime youtube podcast. the editing is cute...
